Information for Patients

Your primary care physician may ask you to see a gastroenterologist for a number of reasons. Although it is not necessary to have a referral to be seen by one of our physicians. If you have been referred to our office, or if you would like to schedule an appointment without a referral, please call (505) 999-1600, Mon-Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Important Notice:

We are currently transferring to an electronic medical record, and patients will be required to complete a medical information form including a complete medication list prior to the office visit, for new patients and follow-up appointments.  This will require additional time to complete the form before seeing the physician or nurse practitioner.  Please allow additional time prior to your appointment. We appreciate your time and understanding during this conversion.


Southwest Gastroenterology is no longer contracted to provide services for Presbyterian Insured patients. 

Effective July 1, 2012, Southwest Gastroenterology is no longer contracted to provide services for Cigna and Great West insured patients.
